How it works
Yorkshire is easy to underestimate. Places that look close on a map can take half a day to explore properly, and some of the best stops are nowhere near the usual visitor lists. We help you make sense of it.
Give us your dates, interests, pace and the sort of trip you want. History, food, wild scenery, coast, hidden places, family days or a bit of everything.
We use local knowledge to put together days that actually work. Realistic timings, worthwhile stops, food suggestions and sensible alternatives where they help.
You receive a clear, personalised plan without spending evenings comparing hundreds of reviews, maps and generic travel lists.
Ask a Yorkshire question or get personalised restaurant recommendations without buying a full planning service.
Explore Yorkshire
Yorkshire is huge. You could spend a week here and barely scratch it. The trick is choosing the places that suit you rather than trying to tick off somebody else’s list.
Ancient walls, medieval streets, independent food, hidden churches, Roman remains and far more than the Minster and Shambles.
Limestone country, waterfalls, market towns, ruined castles, tiny villages and some of the finest road journeys in England.
Gothic ruins, fishing villages, heather moorland, steam trains, dramatic cliffs and roads that suddenly open onto huge landscapes.
Castle Howard, Rievaulx, Fountains Abbey, Haworth, ancient sites and the quieter places that often become the highlight of the trip.
That is exactly what Yorkshire Concierge is for. Tell us what normally makes a great day for you and we’ll help narrow it down.

About
I’m Kes Webster. I’m a Yorkshireman, born about an hour from York, and I’ve lived in York for more than 25 years. This is where I’ve built my life, raised my family and spent years exploring the places around it.
I also run Highwayman Tours, taking visitors privately across Yorkshire. That means I spend my working days on the roads, in the villages, abbeys, market towns, moors and coastal places people travel here to see.
Yorkshire Concierge grew out of all the questions I’m constantly asked. Where should we eat? Is Whitby worth a whole day? Which part of the Dales should we see? Where should we stay? What can we fit into three days without spending half the holiday in the car?
The aim is simple. Useful local advice without the generic travel-guide feel. I’ll tell you when something is worth your time, when it probably isn’t, and when there’s a quieter or more interesting option around the corner.
Family life is here too. When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my family, involved in local football, walking the dog or finding another road, ruin, pub, viewpoint or bit of Yorkshire I’ve somehow managed to miss.
